I was hanging out at a gallery/club called Project One in San Francisco on Saturday (after a fantastic holiday party with my Topspin partners in crime) and the DJ played a track that I had never heard before, but was clearly a shoe-in for my upcoming best-of-2008 list. Before I had a chance to ask him the name of the track, I got distracted and moved on.
So I’m digging through my digital crates today to find candidates for my best-of list and I stumbled on the track I heard at Project One – Revox by Tim Green. My pal Derby must have slipped it in there while I wasn’t looking – thanks dude. I’m particularly fond of the Justin Martin Remix, but the original is mighty fine too. Tim and Justin are top-notch producers from the Dirtybird Records label and they’ve been putting out a ton of amazing tech and electro house. I can’t wait to hear what these guys create in 2009.
