The Beastie Boys just re-mastered and re-released the timeless Paul’s Boutique, but they didn’t just throw it up on iTunes or Amazon as a plain old CD or digital release. They did it up proper with a plethora of options to satisfy every Beastie Boys fan.
Starting today, you can pick up the re-mastered Paul’s Boutique at www.beastieboys.com as a basic digital MP3 package; a deluxe digital package with bonus videos and audio commentary; a re-mastered CD edition, 180-gram vinyl for the true analog junkie, and a commemorative package that contains all of the above plus a limited-edition Paul’s Boutique t-shirt and an 8-foot panoramic poster of the classic album cover. All options come with an immediate download of the album in 320kbps MP3 (and FLAC or Apple Lossless to bot), and if you really want that t-shirt it’s available as an add-on with any package.
And, they’ve completely redesigned their site around the Paul’s Boutique theme – an amazing piece of work from the team at prod4ever. Lots of knobs to tweak and games to play – the slickest artist or album site I’ve seen in years.
Don’t remember how fantastic this record was? Have a listen and check out a few videos in the player below (that’s Topspin technology at work). Then head over to www.beastieboys.com to get the album and mess around on the site.
This is a big day for me and my colleagues at Topspin as we had the privileged of being the marketing and commerce partner for this re-release. This was a very cool project to work on and seeing it come to life is extremely gratifying. Thanks for the opportunity guys!
